New Student Peer Mentorship Program
SOFA SA and Student Peer Mentorship Program
SOFA SA is very excited to announce that we are partnering with the University of Manitoba‘s Peer Mentorship Program for this upcoming academic year!
The program matches Mentors in upper-year academics with Mentee’s just entering their academics.
For Mentors its an excellent opportunity to lend a hand to those students just entering their degrees. We’re sure many of you would have loved to have a Mentor in those years to show you the ropes and help you succeed or be an compassionate ear when school becomes stressful. Please consider volunteering a small portion of your time!
Not only will you be doing an incredible service, but your efforts will be recognized on your CCR (Co-Curricular Record), among many other perks.
There are three unique programs available:
– New Student Peer Mentorship Program: for all students looking to engage with the campus community!
– Neechiwaken Indigenous Peer Mentor Program: for Indigenous students seeking a cultural connection.
– International Student Mentorship Program: for international students seeking intercultural support.
