SoA’s Grace Nickel invited to Portland, Oregon for the 2017 NCECA Annual Exhibition

The Evocative Garden

2017 NCECA ANNUAL EXHIBITION

On March 4, 2017, the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts’ Annual Exhibition opened at Disjecta Contemporary Art Centre in Portland, Oregon. The exhibition, titled The Evocative Garden, is curated by Gail M. Brown. Winnipeg ceramic artist, and Assistant Professor at the School of Art, Grace Nickel, was invited to install her piece, Arbor Vitae, at this international exhibition.

Nickel’s participation is supported by NCECA, SSHRC, the Winnipeg Arts Council, the Manitoba Arts Council, and the Canada Council.
