About the Artist

Ten years ago Danielle Fenn was part of the largest graduating class in the city of Winnipeg. She has worked hard to distance herself from people and places that remind her of her high school experience which was marled with financial strife, nightmarish psychological conditions. The concept of a high school reunion is terrifying, even more so in an era where social media makes it easy for old peers to creep or keep tabs on how she is or isn’t measuring up. Inspired by the quagmire of potential social disasters a reunion could set into motion she has embarked on this project to make and curate work on the high school reunion.

The ememo is sent out on a weekly basis every Wednesday. All news submissions must be submitted by email to fineart@umanitoba.ca before Tuesday at 4:30pm to be considered for the following week’s ememo.
