The House of Veuve Clicquot is pleased to introduce the Re-Creation Awards- a global design competition that invites student designers all over the world to re-imagine Veuve Clicquot’s venerable ‘Mailbox’ packaging.
The Re-Creation Awards launched October 1, 2014 with all submissions being due by November 15, 2014. The inaugural competition, which spans 10 host countries including Canada, will name two finalists from each nation to compete in the final round. The first winner will be determined by an online public vote between November 15 and December 15, 2014. The second winner from a Canadian judging panel including: Stephane De Meurville, General Manager of Moet Henessy Canada; Shaun Levy, President of the Design Exchange, Canada’s Design Museum; Diane Chan, Managing Editor, AZURE Magazine; John Tong, Founder and Principal Deisgner, +tongtong inc. In addition to moving on to the final round, finalists will receive a trip to Veuve Clicquot’s Hotel du Marc, in the Champagne region of France.
The ultimate winner’s design will go into production as the 2015 Veuve Clicquot Mailbox, a creation that will be internationally distributed, with the winner featured in Wallpaper magazine, as well as earning 10,000 euros in prize money and a trip to Milan Design Week in January 2015.
