Art City ANIMAL PARADE, June 28th 2014
Each summer, Art City brings positivity and creativity to the streets with our flagship event, the annual Art City Parade. Participants and spectators will be delighted by the incredible larger-than-life sculptures as always – this time in the theme of ANIMALS!
Our furry and not-so-furry friends in the animal kingdom are essential for the health of our environment. Animals also have much to teach us about how to live responsibly, as indigenous peoples all over the world have observed for thousands of years. The ANIMAL PARADE will feature the animals of the First Nations’ Seven Sacred Teachings:
Eagle (Love), Bison (Respect), Bear (Courage), Sabe (Honesty),Beaver (Wisdom), Wolf (Humility), and Turtle (Truth)
Art City kids and families are working hard on floats, costumes, and props for this one-of-a-kind community celebration through art. We expect over 700 people of all ages from across the city to be a part of this feel good event of the year! Entertainment, food, games, and smiles free-of-charge for all in attendance. West Broadway will never be the same after the animals march though it’s streets.
