Together, GPESA and LEAP are hosting a social in order to raise funds that will go towards school supplies, school materials, healthy snacks, and other weekly operating costs.
As part of this fundraiser, we are looking into the possibility of having an art auction. We will accept donated works or prints, but are also open to compensating the contributing artists. In this case, we would ask the artist to present us with a base price for their work, and would begin bidding at that number. In the case of a sale, the artist would be compensated for the value they presented, and any additional profit would go into the funds raised for the evening.
The event will be held on April 24th, 2014 in the main floor Gallery of the Manitoba Hydro Place on Portage avenue. There will be live music, a silent auction, beverages and hors d’oeuvres served. Artists are encouraged to attend!
Submission Deadline: April 14, 2014
